Come With Me

“Bet ya won’t be able to catch this!” Rusty squeaked as he ran across the yarn, dragging the pink feathered toy along with him. He ran as fast as his little kitten legs could take him, struggling not to trip along the way.

“Rusty that’s not fair! We didn’t start running at the same time!” An angry kitten mewed after the small tom. Rusty ran fast, but the feather he dragged behind him slowed down and the brown and white tabby kitten quickly caught up to him. With a tiny jump, Princess leapt up and tackled the orange cat.

Both kittens crashed to the grass, the feathered toy slipping out of Rusty’s mouth. “Ouch!” Rusty winced as he hit the ground hard, his sister landing on top of him. “Get off me Princess, that hurt!” he cried out.

“I’m sorry! I didn’t think it would hurt that much!” Princess leapt off Rusty, allowing him to get up. “Where does it hurt?” the brown tabby continued, “I can go get mom if you need me to.” she offered.

“I’m-I’m okay.” Rusty staggered to his feet. “It’s just my paws, they got…” Rusty paused, then sprang over to the feathered toy and captured it in his mouth, a smug look on his face.

“Wha-hey! You weren’t hurt at all you jerk!” Princess hissed at her brother, resulting in a giggle from Rusty.

The pair heard a rustling from within the cardboard box next to them. “Mom said we need to stay in the box.” A nervous voice mewed.

“Come on Tommy, We’re not leaving the yard.” Rusty rolled his eyes.

“You’re going to get in a lot of trouble if you guys keep playing out there.” Tommy warned from inside the box, but heard no response from his arguing siblings. Tommy jumped up to poke his head outside the box, so he could look at the kittens but still be following his mother’s rules. The striped orange tabby tom opened his mouth to scold his siblings further, but froze as he saw a massive cat slowly making his way toward them.

“Maybe Rusty should be stuck in the dumb box, since he’s nothing but a cheater!” Princess huffed, glaring at Rusty.

“You’re just mad because I won.” Rusty grinned at his sister.

The large black and white cat continued his steady pace toward the kittens. Tommy blinked, realizing his siblings must be too distracted to see the cat. “Uh...guys…” he managed to mew softly.

“What is it, Tommy?” Rusty began to look up at his brother, but paused as he finally noticed the cat towering over them. The feather toy fell from the shocked kitten’s mouth, and Rusty took a small step back from the threatening cat. The cat had scars all over his body and a terrifying collar of teeth around his neck.

“Is Nutmeg your mother?” The cat grunted to the tiny kittens. Only princess was able to respond, nodding her head lightly. Rusty froze in his place unable to move a muscle. Tommy had shrunk back inside the box, visibly shaking.

The black and white cat looked over the kittens for a moment. “You three will come with me.” He finally meowed, and beckoned the kittens to follow him with his long tail. All three kittens mewed in protest, crying and calling for their mother.

“Mom! Mom help!”

“No! I- I don’t want to go! Please!”

“Go away! Mom help us!”

The huge cat only chuckled at the small resistance. In one quick motion, he grabbed Princess by the scruff of her neck. At the same time, he held his paw down on Rusty’s tail, preventing him from running off. The black and white cat merely grinned sinisterly at the small orange tabby in the box, who in turn only cried more.

“Come on kits,” the tom cat murmured through Princess’s pelt, who was too stunned to mew. “I don’t have all day. You’re going with me.”

“You’re not taking them anywhere!” A voice yowled from behind the bloodclan cat.

Okay I got lazy with the art and the story this time but this is still a whole lot of fun and I am totally going to keep doing this. Anyway, introducing Jake's last litter of kittens- Rusty, Princess and Tommy. Tommy, you'll note, is not in the books at all. He is one of the names from that missing kits project which has since been deemed not canon (You can read about him here- warriors.wikia.com/wiki/Tommy). I really despise the design Su gave him but like I love the name??? So I changed the design. Tommy is just such a cute name for a shy little kitten. I've chosen not to include the other two missing kit kittens because 1) They're not canon anyway and 2) I hate the names (Seriously, how do your pronounce Filou??) and 3) They would only clutter the story I have in mind. 
Oh, and I am not canceling my comic at all. Next update will be this Sunday, like always!
